Technical Assistant (Aurora Operator)
Our client, a public sector organisation, based in Tullos, has an immediate requirement for a Technical Assistant to join their Road Works Coordination team in the post of Aurora Operator on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the Roadworks Coordination service, including providing and maintaining the records of the roadwork register for Aberdeen City, along with organising inspection schedules and issuing permits in relation to ongoing / upcoming works.
The post holder will be expected to assist the Team Leader and Technical Officers to:
·Collate, manage and update performance information and technical records
·Manage specialised computer systems relevant to the team
·Maintain and interrogate computerised financial systems and issue permits, Fixed Penalty Notices and invoices as and when required.
·Maintain accurate records and keep relevant databases up to date
Interface with social media platforms to update / inform / advise on any planned or emergency works.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation, administration and communication skills and ideally have a basic knowledge of legislation and procedures related to street work occupations. The ability to work on your own initiative and/or within a team, financial awareness, numeric skills are also essential attributes for this position.
Standard grade in Maths and English or equivalent in a relevant subject, is required as a minimum for this post.
Rate of pay: £11.24 per hour
