Procurement Team Lead
Our high profile Aberdeen client has a position available for a Procurement Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.
The purpose of the role is to ensure an aligned approach to procurement across the group and be responsible for ensuring a positive and proactive approach to managing all aspects of client contracts.
Duties and responsibilities:
·Source and supply goods from enquiry stage to dispatch
·Achieve targets and negotiate discounts to enhance profit
·Seek new suppliers to enhance supply chain
·Ensure queries, customs paperwork etc is provided in a timely manner
·Assist with tender pricing to ensure market competitiveness
·Ensure systems are up to date at all times
·Develop customer relations with new and existing clients
·Maintain key accounts with clients
·Liaise with the key members of staff both onshore and offshore to ensure their needs are met and that supply of goods and services is to their satisfaction
·Prepare tenders/pricing/documentation and RFQs
·Ensure QA requirements are met - data sheets, test certificates to be supplied with relevant goods
·Supervise and assist in the training and development of Assistant Buyers, Buyers and Senior Buyers
·Actively participate in budget planning and achieving financial targets
·Participate in the marketing and future growth of the business
