Equipment Logisitics Coordinator

Our well established client in Aberdeen are looking for a full time Equipment Logistics Coordinator to join their team for maternity cover up to 1 year which could lead to permanent.
The purpose of the role is to support the business with all aspects of shipping and logistics in compliance with the supply chain procedures.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, timely and cost- effective shipping of all equipment whilst adhering to standard operating procedures, applicable laws and the global QHSE Management systems.  
Main duties:
·Recording and maintaining detailed information on file for all import and export shipments including providing clearance instructions for imports to the UK
·Ensuring all HM Customs & Excise requirements are adhered to specifically concerning the movement of FCG & RGR goods
·Completing statistical information for HM Customs and excise and checking monthly MSS sheets
·Ensuring all equipment movements are in accordance to load out list/manifest
·Handling & packing of dangerous goods in preparation for offshore shipments
·Create delivery tickets / proforma invoices
·Request quotes and arrange transport through the Freight Forwarders
·Upkeep of Asset Management with respect to movements out of the base
·Ensuring the customs guarantee is valid and at the correct level
·Arrange for inspection and certification checks of CCU &PB
·Packing for overseas shipments when required as well as assisting in general admin duties
·Booking in goods, unpacking shipments and monitoring stock item
The successful candidate will be:
·Well organised and hands on with a strong supply chain or materials logistics track record of over 3 years, preferable within the oil and gas sector
·Have detailed knowledge of the regulations for Transporting of Dangerous goods
·Be proficient in MS Excel, Word and be computer literate
·Knowledge of HM Customs & Excise is desirable but not essential
·Good communication skills
·Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision software would be advantageous
Hours of work are 0830 - 1630 Monday to Friday with overtime when required and you will also be part of the on-call rota every second weekend.
